Charter of Mechyrdia
The Charter of Mechyrdia (Mec. Čarta Mehurdias) is the supreme law of the Empire of Mechyrdia, providing the specification for the structure and powers of the imperial government. Largely inspired by the United States Constitution, Ciar Nicólei the First and Only also sought to learn from the mistakes of the past when writing the Charter.
The Charter also contains a Bill of Rights (Mec. Declaració Rehtas) that builds upon the old United States' Bill of Rights, by including economic rights in addition to political rights that the government is forbidden from violating, as well as contingencies for the case that the government be subverted by enemy forces, or otherwise become hostile to its own people.
